Some of the best days out from Villa LAVA come down to a few practical details: what the ticket costs, where you are actually allowed to swim, and which boat leaves from where. Prices and timetables shift every season, so here is the 2026 picture for Krka National Park, the region’s ferry connections, and getting out to the Kornati, all seen from your base in Pirovac.
Krka National Park: 2026 prices and the 3pm trick
Krka sits roughly 30 km east of Pirovac and is the region’s headline day trip. It is also not cheap in high season, so it pays to know the 2026 price list before you go.
Adult entry to the land sites, including Skradinski buk:
- June to September: €40, dropping to €30 for entry after 15:00
- April, May and October: €20
- Winter: €7
That after-15:00 discount is a genuinely useful lever. Arrive in the early afternoon and you save a quarter on the ticket while the tour-bus crowds are thinning out and the light is getting better for photos.
Boat excursions inside the park cost extra on top of entry: the Visovac island trip is €15, the Čikola canyon trip is €10, and a combined Visovac plus Roški slap outing is €20.
Where you can actually swim in Krka
This one catches a lot of families out. Swimming is not allowed at Skradinski buk, the big terraced waterfall most visitors picture when they think of Krka.
You can swim, though, between 1 June and 30 September at Roški slap, Stinice and Pisak, according to the park’s official FAQ. If a swim is the point of the day for your group, plan the route around those spots rather than turning up at Skradinski buk in swimwear and being disappointed. Park boat excursions themselves run from 1 April to 31 October.
New ferry and catamaran lines for 2026
Getting between the islands got a little easier this year. Jadrolinija has introduced new routes for 2026 that improve year-round connectivity across the Split, Zadar and Brač region.
Closer to home, the waters off Šibenik are served by a fast catamaran, Line 9502, run by Mia Tours, alongside the regional Line 505 and the outer-island car ferry Line 532. If island-hopping is part of your plan, it is worth checking the current timetables before you set out, since sailings vary by season.
Getting out to the Kornati
The Kornati archipelago is one of the most striking things you can do from this coast, but there is a catch worth knowing in advance: no scheduled state ferry runs inside the national park. You reach it by organised excursion.
Certified excursion boats leave daily from Šibenik’s Riva, and, more conveniently for Villa LAVA guests, from Murter harbour, only about 10 km from Pirovac.
